A lot is happening in Germany these days. While the Oktoberfest is happening in Munich, Berlin presents itself from its sporty side next weekend. The 41st Berlin Marathon starts Sunday afternoon and there are more than 40,000 participants from around the world are expected to put on their running shoes for the big event.
If you don’t have 42 kilometers in you, you can discover Berlin’s many sights in another fun (and active) way. You can discover Berlin by bike, while visiting some of the city’s major sights. The Berlin City Bike Tour takes you along on the Berlin Wall, Hitler’s bunker, Checkpoint Charlie and the Holocaust Memorial – just to mention a few of the highlights.
