Andrew Lloyd Webber Back in London’s West End

Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber is very happening at the moment with two revivals of some of his most popular shows in London’s West End: Cats and Evita.

Cats the musical

The musical Cats is not so surprisingly about a group of cats on a fateful night. The show has been translated into 10 different languages and performed more than 9000 times, but in this new version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s mega hit hip-hop is incorporated into the classic musical.

Cats plays at the London Palladium beginning December 6, 2014.

Evita

Other of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musicals Evita is now coming to London’s West End. The show is about the Argentina’s charismatic Eva Peron.

Eva Peron was born in poverty, but driven by ambition and a good portion of charm, Eva became an actress by 22, the president’s mistress at 24, Argentina’s first lady at 27. When she died of cancer at only 32 years old an immortal myth was born. 

Evita plays at Dominion Theatre from September 16, 2014.
